First Class were investigating and experimenting how to launch a rocket using a balloon, a string, a drinking straw and a peg. We discovered that the air coming out of the back of the balloon pushes the balloon forward. This is how rockets work- the hot burning gases rushing out of the back of the rockets push them forward. First class enjoyed this experiment and are already looking forward to the next one.
