It is a pleasure to welcome you to the website of Gaelscoil Mhichíl Uí Choileáin. From very humble beginnings, Gaelscoil Mhichíl Uí Choileáin has blossomed into the vibrant and multi-faceted educational establishment we have today. This growth has only been possible due to the relentless work of my predecessor, Carmel Nic Airt, and the various Boards of Management under the guidance of Traolach Ó Donnabháin, as well as our, current and past, parents and pupils.

It is indeed these pupils who are the heartbeat of our school where respect for each other is the fundamental foundation stone on which our school community is built. We acknowledge and celebrate differences, but with an emphasis on inclusivity. We aspire to each child fulfilling his/her potential in a positive and respectful educational environment.

Finally, thank you to all who have been associated with our school since 1994, be they staff, parents or pupils. We thank you for your undying support, encouragement, advice, cheerful friendliness, unbounded optimism and patience but above all we thank you for continuing to stand by our school motto, ‘Ar Scáth a Chéile a Mhairimid’.
